Born in Saint-Brieuc in 1988, I am a self-taught artist currently living and working in Nantes (France). I paint, draw and write. Every morning, I draw flowers and write a personal thought in calligraphy alongside them. I call this morning drawings Dessins du Matin, they are like a garden (growing each day) made from 100 A4 sheets. They show the evolution of my work over time.
I work with whatever all-rounder tools I have to hand which provide contrast and are versatile. I draw at my desk, sometimes outdoors and in public places. My practice is based on observation, experimentation and playing with shapes, colours and the thoughts that come and go. I use writing, line drawing, mixed media, composition and calligraphy in black Indian ink. I love floral and botanical patterns.
Trained in German language and culture in both France and Germany and passionate about foreign languages, I lived in German-speaking countries for nearly 8 years. I am also a trained pastry chef and have completed a course in the basics of Non-Violent Communication.
